Location & Directions
We are a friendly Georgian farmhouse B&B peacefully nestled in the rolling hills 3 miles outside Richmond, North Yorkshire. We have tried to write directions from the local major roads as clearly as possible but if in doubt consult Google Maps!
Directions
From A1 North
Come off the A1 at Scotch Corner and take the 3rd exit signposted A66 Brough, Penrith. Travel a few miles westwards until you see a left exit signposted Ravensworth (shortly after Mainsgill Farmshop).
Follow the road down to and through Ravensworth. Continue along the road, you’ll see a left turn for Whashton village – IGNORE IT and continue straight on. A mile or so later you’ll see our farm entrance on the right – a tarmac road with sign.
From A1 South
Come off the A1 at Catterick, signposted Marne Barracks and Richmond. Continue through Catterick Village and past the racecourse. Go over Catterick Bridge and take the next left signposted Richmond. Follow this road for approximately 5 miles until you reach Richmond. This road ends when it joins Richmond’s main road, turn left then at the traffic lights (100 yards or so) turn right. Go up the hill passing the fire station and exit the town. Continue on this road for approximately 2 miles. Near the farm entrance you’ll go down a fairly steep hill and a sharp right turn. Do not turn left on this bend to High Whashton Farm, continue for another 350 yards and you’ll see our farm entrance on your left, tarmac road with sign.
SAT NAV WARNING
Our experience is that most sat nav’s will take you to the wrong farm when you input our postcode. Sat nav will take you to High Whashton Farm which is found along a dirt track from the sharp bend on the hill. Please do not follow your sat nav.
